A Glimpse
As someone who sways towards the aesthetics of the monochrome I was keen to play with a hint of colour with this piece, whilst still giving the work a subtlety and lull. I used vibrant blues and a hint of orange, using watercolour alongside graphite pencil. Using two different mediums within a piece is something I am particularly fond of, the pencil emphasising the detail whilst the watercolour adds a fluidity and softness.
